Cultural Night returned with new leadership to keep the tradition alive. Ira Bhatnagar, the Class of 2020 social chair, led the event this year. The baton was passed to her and she organized all eight organizations, marketed the event, and ensured that the tradition would be alive in this festive time of year.
Each of the eight organizations brought signature dishes emblematic of their culture. The Hispanic Student Dental Association brought Arroz Moro with sweet plantain to match, the Student National Dental Organization supplied the comfort food with Mac n’ Cheese and Fried Chicken, the American Asian Dental Club supplied some Maduro, Kimchi Fried Rice, and Japchae, the Italian Dental Society made our taste buds water with penne vodka, Alpha Omega treated us to babka and kugel, the Indian Dental Society served bhel and gulab jamun, and last but certainly not least was the Arab Dental Society striking our sweet tooth with classic kunafa.
Hungry yet? Save that appetite, because Cultural Night will be back next year, led by the Class of 2021 social chair, Gabe Senor.
